STGCC 2015 - Sands Expo and Convention Center, Singapore

Hi there my fellow Cybertronians,

Recently, a major event in the Asian animation calendar took place place south across the Malaysian border in Singapore - the annual Singapore Toy, Game and Comic Convention or STGCC for short.
The Crowd began to build up as early as 8.00am
The event was held at the Sands Expo and Convention Center, Marina Bay Sands, from 12th to 13th of September 2015. The annual event not only drew local Singapore crowds, but international visitors as well, such as from South East Asian countries and even from the United States and Europe!
Visitors were served with free Gabu Gabu Ice Cream Sodas
We, from New Planet Cybertron were privileged enough to be able to attend this annual convention -- one of the most popular event in South East Asia annually. The event also boast collaborations with one the world's biggest Comic Convention -- the New York Comic Con!
Some of the biggest name in the worldwide convention history were also present, i.e. Stella Chuu (renowned cosplayer). Shigeto Koyama (designer of Baymax) and many more.

The event also saw XM Studios take center-stage as one of the main exhibitors of the event, as well as Hot Toys, Bandai, MAGIC The Gathering, Imaginarium and many more.

The Joker was one of the many Batman-related characters on display
There were numerous statue displays from The Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Marvel Cinematic Universe and many more.

Hasbro was noticeably missing from this event, although some of their products were still sold by the numerous sales booth.

What ya gonna do, when Hulkamania runs wild on you?
Transformers Fans were not left out either. Various Transformers figures from 3rd Party companies were also on display, with the most eye-catching of all (in my opinion of course) being the G1 Scorponok.

For those who more onto nostalgia stuffs, there are many impressive vintage collectibles, either as displays or for sale. There were classic super robots such as Albegas, Patlabor and many more; Back to the Future; GI Joes and many more.

There were also various competitions, interviews, autograph-signing sessions held throughout the 2-days event.

And of course, no comic events would be complete without the various colorful cosplays, which only a small amount of them are featured here. My personal favorites were the Aeris Gainsborough cosplay (from Final Fantasy 7) and the Power Rangers cosplay, although the others were equally as good.

So yes, STGCC 2015 was a great and wonderful event, and we from New Planet Cybertron were happy to be here, and we look forward to come here again next year. So before signing off, we are going to leave you with more colorful snapshots of the various cosplays on show.

Till next year...
