WWE LIVE! in Kuala Lumpur 2014

After 12 long years... FINALLY, WWE has come back ... to Kuala Lumpur!!!

Yup, it was a long time coming. We had been waiting for 12 long years, and we have been praying so hard for it for it. We've watched them going at each other every single week on TV. We've seen them travelling around the world, i.e. UK, Australia and all across the United States, wondering when are they going to make that leap of faith across the Pacific Ocean?

Well, the long wait was over, and finally it happened. It had been some memorable weeks leading up to the historic 2-days event!

The road to WWE LIVE! in Stadium Putra Bukit Jalil literally kicked off on the 5th September 2014, when WWE Superstar Mike "The Miz" Mizanin made that 20 hour flight to Malaysia for the WWE LIVE! in Kuala Lumpur promotional tour. Astro, the official TV station that was responsible for bringing WWE LIVE! to Malaysia took full advantage of The Miz coming to Malaysia by having the latter appearing on Radio Stations, interviews, commercials and even a special appearance in the popular sitcom OH, MY ENGLISH!

To cap his visit to Malaysia was the Meet and Greet with The Miz at Paradigm Mall.

Wrestling fans in Malaysia got their first taste of WWE LIVE!, by actually meeting The Miz LIVE in Paradigm Mall. Although only those lucky few were selected to meet The Awesome One, wrestling fans thronged in huge numbers to see the former 1-time WWE Champion, 4-times Intercontinental Champion, 2-times United States Champion, Money in the Bank winner, as well as multi-time WWE/ World Tag Team Champions with their very own eyes.

The Crowd was simply AWESOME!

The contingent of fans, led by none other than members of PGM (Peminat Gusti Malaysia) or The Malaysian Wrestling Fans club, were so lively, giving a taste of how it was going to be like during the actual WWE LIVE! event.

PGM also set up a display counter, exhibiting replicas of some of the most prestigious championship belts in WWE such as the Intercontinental Title, the US Heavyweight Title, the WWE Title, The Big Gold Belt and many more.

Several cosplayers were also present, dressing up as some of the most famous WWE Superstar such as The People's Champ The Rock, the legendary Ultimate Warrior, The Icon/ The Franchise Sting, as well as The Eater of Worlds Bray Wyatt, brought to you by New Planet Cybertron's very own Jerry W.

DJ Ean, of the Hitz.fm Morning Crew fame, was also there to host the event, and just like the morning before, "suffered badly" at the hands of The Miz.

Meet and Greet with The Wyatt Family at Hotel Saujana (10 October 2014)

For yours truly especially, this was one of the biggest highlight of the 2-day event. Throughout their stay in Malaysia, all the WWE Superstars present wasted no time to engage their long-suffering fans. John Cena, for instant went to a press conference/ interview; Paige and The Miz went to Batu Caves; the team of Heath Slater and Titus O'Neil -- Slater Gator guest appeared on a TV show; and so on.

Yours truly had the pleasure of meeting up with one of the most popular and unique stable in WWE today -- Bray Wyatt and The Wyatt Family.

Bray Wyatt, by far, is one my most favorite wrestlers currently, and for months now, I've dressing up as him in several events, and even cut various promos, throughout the duration of time leading up to the 2-day event. Various contests were organized by various parties for this Meet and Greet session, namely Mix.fm and PGM, just to name a few, although the identity of the superstars were kept secret until the eleventh hour.

I, on behalf of New Planet Cybertron was privileged enough to win one of those tickets, and it was literally a dream came through. I knew that I had to dress up as Bray Wyatt again, and it has to be the best damn costume of him I've ever mixed and matched.

I needed to impress him, and to let him know that I am his biggest fan in this country.

In the end, I think I managed to do just that. I was so excited to be able to meet him, and for him to personally acknowledged my costume, that was priceless.

Also present for the Meet and Greet were the PGM members, as well as other cosplayers who dressed up as Sting, John Cena, The Rock, Seth Rollins, Jeff Hardy and even Dean Ambrose from The Shield.

Now this was everyone had been waiting for the past 12 years. Though the LIVE shows were supposed to start at 7.00pm, the crowd was already there since 3.00pm!

There were thousands of fans lined up - not only locals, but also fans from Hong Kong, Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, and even those from South Africa!

Members from PGM (Peminat Gusti Malaysia/ Malaysian Wrestling Fans) & MWC (Malaysian Wrestling Club) were also there to liven up the atmosphere.

There were thousands of Cenation army, all clad in John Cena's signature t-shirts and caps.

There were also a number of cosplayers who dressed up as various characters such as Sting, The Undertaker, Kane, The Rock, CM Punk, Dean Ambrose (Shield) etc.

Of course, "Bray Wyatt" was also there to mingle with the crowd, and having his photos taken by so many wrestling fans.

The LIVE features John Cena, United States Champion Sheamus, The Miz, The Big Show, Seth Rollins, The Wyatt Family (Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper and Erick Rowan), Slater Gator (Heath Slater and Titus O'Neil), Sin Cara, Bo Dallas, Sami Zayn, NXT Champion Adrian Neville, Paige, Divas Champion AJ Lee, Kofi Kingston, Big E Langston, Los Matadores & El Torito.

The popular ring announcer Justin Robert was also present, which also proved to be his last for the WWE, since he was released from his contract in the following week upon his return to the United States.

The match cards for both days, though were different, were equally entertaining. You get to see how The Big Show literally shook the entire ring to its very foundation (definite Holy-Shit moment); John Cena vs Bray Wyatt in a repeat of their Wrestlemania main event; the Fatal Four-Way between Bo Dallas, Sin Cara, Sami Zayn and Adrian Neville was so fun to watch; The Miz with his entertaining antics and many more -- the WWE Superstars definitely deliver.

It was a wonderful event, and it didn't disappoint.

In the end, all the fans left the arena wishing that the night never ends, and started to pray for the WWE to come back again, and hopefully, we do not have to wait for another 12 years for them to return.
